Hot Days of Summer

Ramadan Mubarak!

Abdullah ibn Umar (ra), when death came to him, said: “I do not feel sad about leaving anything in this world except fasting in the hot days of summer, and standing in prayer during the night.”

A man who clearly understood Ramadan for what it is. Most of us are aware of the profound benefits we can extract from this beautiful month yet every year we leave it in the same way we entered. Striving to better oneself requires continuous efforts to change. So despite however many times we may have failed in the past, there is no time like present to get up and keep trying. Let us not stagnate like still water but rather become the dynamic people we were meant to be.
