Hello brother.

“Hello brother”   I dragged myself out of bed that morning, went downstairs, prepared breakfast and sat down to eat it with a little television as I would do any other morning before work. Except, that day breakfast soon turned to tears in my eyes. I’ll be honest – I didn’t even realise until my…

What I see.

The velvet pinks and fiery reds melt into the fading sweet blue As a sharp sliver of moon looks me in the eye and says, ‘There are things out there much greater, greater than your sorrows Stop trying to understand everything and let the wind take you’.

Pieces

Broken pieces of the heart break yet again I never knew you could keep on breaking like that and they rain like glitter into a water as shallow as a man’s promises, as deceiving as his sweet words so beautiful to look at; they miss the sharp edges of each shard that rip each other…

Nothing to see here, just some words from my head.

screaming in silence. haunting smoke envelopes, tearing apart, I cannot. blacker than coal, the soul retreats in view invisibly clawing for escape, but pushed down further. by those well meaning words supposedly. buried alive that once beating heart. disaster is what i dream of, sometimes with pink skies. a twisted and broken kaleidoscope of mind…

Morning Person.

The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said, “Allah made the early hours blessed for my Ummah.” — Ahmed I was once a morning person. Every day at a time when the rest of the world were a few hours into their sleep, I would wake up and get up from bed within a few seconds. I would…

Lessons from Al-‘Asr

By Al-‘Asr (the time). Indeed, man is surely in loss, Except those who believe and do righteous good deeds, and recommend one another to the truth, and recommend one another to patience. — Qur’an Surah Al-‘Asr (103):1-3 Surah Al-‘Asr has a very powerful beginning. Allah (swt) is making an oath by which he commands us…
